Hard water leaves hard mineral deposits (limescale) so hence the name -hard water. Hard water also has a number of other effects:
1. Limescaling of heating elements (increased heating costs)
2. Stops soap suds forming
3. Hardness of water Cleaning takes longer and involves aggressive chemicals hardness of water
Where does the hardness of water come from?
The hardness comes from dissolved rock! Limestone pavements and caves are normally caused by rain water slowly dissolving the rock. This suspended rock will often stop being suspended in your home, and can cause a tremendous amount of damage to your plumbing system.
